Basic Safety and Functional Inspection Regulations for Skid-Mounted Fuel Stations

Release Date: February 27, 2026

For skid-mounted fuel stations, routine maintenance and inspection are essential. Standard inspections generally fall into two categories: safety checks and functional checks. Safety checks primarily focus on safety aspects, including the aging of equipment and explosion-proof measures. Functional checks generally focus on the equipment's operational efficiency. Today, we will specifically introduce the safety and functional inspection procedures for skid-mounted fuel stations.

1. Safety Inspection of Explosion-Proof Skid-mounted Fuel Station Equipment

  • 1.1. Check all explosion-proof junction box bolts for looseness and missing bolts, ensuring electrical sealing performance.
  • 1.2. Check all sealing surfaces of the piping system for leaks (including flange seals, filter cleaning ports, valve body connections, and opening/closing components). Visually inspect pipe fasteners for looseness. Check the fuel dispenser inlet pipe connections, filters, flow meters, solenoid valves, fuel hoses, and other interfaces for leaks.
  • 1.3. Check the piping system's static grounding for looseness and inspect the equipment's grounding status.
  • 1.4. Check the equipment's oil leak sight glass for any abnormalities.
  • 1.5. Check if the valve opening and closing status of the equipment is consistent with the nameplate flowchart.

2. Functional Inspection of Explosion-Proof Skid-mounted Fuel Station Equipment

  • 2.1. Check if the fuel dispenser display screen has missing or extra images, if the backlight is normal, if the keyboard buttons are normal, and if the prompt sounds are normal. Check if the fuel dispenser and IC card can be used normally, and if the pipeline solenoid valve starts normally (valve core popping sound).
  • 2.2. Check if the power indicator light in the explosion-proof electrical box is displaying normally, and if the level gauge display screen is displaying normally. Check if all operating buttons can rotate and reset normally.
  • 2.3. During unloading, check if the fuel pump starts normally, without any sharp metallic noises. If the unloading speed slows down, clean the filter element promptly.

The above are the safety and functional inspection procedures for skid-mounted fuel stations. We hope this will be helpful for your daily maintenance and inspection of skid-mounted fuel stations.
